Valentine heat wave

Well I'm back!! haven't wrote a new blog since the restoration of the W Train in New York City on November 7th 2016 so this is my very first blog of 2017.

And speaking of New York City. The city is under a heat advisory with temperatures in the low to mid 90's during the day and mid to upper 70's at night. But today's temperatures in NYC and the Northeast is nowhere near temperatures in the Central Midwest with temperatures there in the 100's but there's one place in particularly that been burning in the 110's and that is Valentine, Nebraska.

The hottest place in the United States is Valentine.

==Place Information==

Valentine is located in northern Nebraska near the South Dakota border. It is a small town with the population near 3,000. Valentine is not that known on the media but it looks like a nice place to stay at the parks and grasslands. Valentine is also known as the Heart City.

==Climate==
The climate in the Valentine area is often sunny and cool to warm. Winters can be cold and dry and summers are hot and sunny. Valentine averages 7-10 days above 100 degrees average summer high temperatures is in the mid 80's to low 90's. It is not too often for the Valentine area and Nebraska to be the warmest place in the United States and it's extremely rare to see Valentine above 110 degrees though this type of heat have been recorded in the past. The hottest temperature recorded was 114 degrees on July 2, 1990.

But with this type of heat make sure to drink a lot of water and cool under an air conditioner.
